Our Story

New York City Electric Inc. is a third-generation family business with over a century of hands-on electrical work.

It started small in tough conditions overseas—fixing whatever needed fixing with basic tools and no shortcuts. The work ethic stuck: show up, do it right, stand behind it. That carried the family to New York, where the business turned into a real operation handling everything from city apartments and restaurants to warehouses and commercial jobs.

Today, led by Master Electrician Daniel Weissman (licensed in New York City, Westchester, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, and the USVI), our team covers residential, commercial, and industrial electrical, lighting, and power projects across the Tri-State area and beyond.

We stick to the basics that built us—safety first, solid craftsmanship, attention to detail, and straight-up good service—while keeping up with new tech: smart systems, advanced lighting, energy-efficient setups, and whatever tools make the job better.
